The new experiential art center's exhibition is expected to continue through at least 2022.

Chilean artist Felipe Mujica has woven patchwork from tribal member Khadijah Cypress for a South Florida-unique experience.

More than 250 artists are expected to open their doors to the public during the May 8 event presented by Fountainhead Residency and Studios.

Among the changes this year: free access, a mix of virtual and in-person screenings, and a new 'Building Bridges/Breaking Barriers' program.

The exhibition, which opens March 25, delves into the Surrealist time period of the 'Poème-Objet' (poem-object).

It opens with an in-theater, world-premiere screening of Miami-based filmmaker Edson Jean's 'Ludi.'

Along with the Florida Grand Opera, Angela Brown will present two performances on Feb. 28 at Miami’s Historic Hampton House.

The exhibit is available for viewing at the Historic Ward Rooming House in Miami’s Overtown through March 13.

The exhibition will feature newly commissioned and existing works by local, national and international artists.

The $2.2 million investment emphasizes that the arts are critical to keeping communities connected.
